Privacy Policy

Effective: September 8, 2026
Last updated: September 17, 2026

GrydWyrk is operated from Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the GrydWyrk website.

Information handled by GrydWyrk

Website logs

When you visit the website, the web-hosting systems may automatically create routine logs. These logs may include your IP address, browser and device information, the date and time of your request, the pages or files requested, the referring page, and information about errors or suspected security problems.

These logs are used only to operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website. GrydWyrk does not use them to create advertising profiles or track your activity across websites.

Email

If you email GrydWyrk, GrydWyrk receives your email address and the information you include in your message, such as your name, questions, and attachments. This information is used to respond to you and, when necessary, to maintain appropriate business records.

Information stored in your browser

The Sudoku pages use browser storage rather than cookies. This storage may contain saved or temporary puzzle progress and puzzle status.

This information remains in the particular browser and browser profile in which it was created. For example, progress saved in Edge is separate from progress saved in Chrome on the same computer. It is not sent to or stored by GrydWyrk.

You can delete saved Sudoku progress with the controls provided on the Sudoku pages. You can also remove browser-stored information through your browser settings. Browsers may clear this information themselves, particularly when private-browsing features are used or browser data is cleared. Progress for puzzles that leave the seven-day archive may also be removed.

Booklinker and Geniuslink links

GrydWyrk may use Booklinker and Geniuslink links to direct visitors to books available from external retailers. Booklinker and Geniuslink are link-routing services operated by GeoRiot Networks, Inc.

GrydWyrk uses only ordinary Booklinker and Geniuslink hyperlinks. GrydWyrk does not embed Booklinker or Geniuslink scripts, tracking pixels, retargeting tools or advertising technologies on GrydWyrk pages. GeoRiot is contacted only after you choose one of these links.

When you select a Booklinker or Geniuslink link, your browser first contacts GeoRiot. GeoRiot may then direct you to an appropriate retailer or regional storefront based on factors such as your approximate location, browser language and device.

GeoRiot may automatically process information including:

• your Internet Protocol address;
• browser, operating-system and device information;
• your browser language;
• the address of the GrydWyrk page containing the link;
• information identifying the book or link selected; and
• the retailer or destination selected.

GeoRiot states that an Internet Protocol address is used for the initial processing of a click and is not retained as part of the ongoing click record. GeoRiot may also receive limited purchase information from a retailer in some circumstances, such as the number or category of products purchased, purchase prices and the time of a transaction.

GeoRiot uses this information to operate and protect its services, select an appropriate destination, measure link activity and produce reports. GeoRiot may make aggregated or summary information about link activity available to GrydWyrk. GrydWyrk does not combine this information with other information to identify individual visitors or create profiles about them.

Information processed through Booklinker or Geniuslink may be transferred to and stored in the United States. It may therefore be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of the United States.

Additional information is available in the Booklinker Privacy Policy and the Geniuslink Privacy Policy.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The GrydWyrk pages themselves do not use cookies, advertising trackers, embedded third-party analytics or behavioural profiling.

GrydWyrk does not embed Booklinker or Geniuslink scripts, tracking pixels, retargeting tools or advertising technologies. Booklinker or Geniuslink is contacted only after you choose one of its ordinary hyperlinks.

After you select a Booklinker or Geniuslink link or visit an external retailer, GeoRiot or the retailer may use cookies or other tracking technologies according to its own privacy policy and cookie practices.

GrydWyrk does not sell or rent personal information.

External retailers and websites

GrydWyrk does not process purchases on this website. Some links may pass through Booklinker or Geniuslink before taking you to an external retailer such as Amazon or another bookseller. Other external links may connect directly to the destination website.

Any purchase is made directly with the retailer. GrydWyrk does not receive your payment-card information, shipping address or retailer-account information.

Once you follow an external link, GeoRiot and the destination website may process information under their respective privacy policies and practices.

Service providers and disclosure

GrydWyrk uses service providers to host and operate the website and email. They may process limited information, such as website logs or email data, only as needed to provide those services. The GrydWyrk website is hosted in Canada.

GrydWyrk may also use Booklinker and Geniuslink, operated by GeoRiot Networks, Inc., to route and measure certain book links. Information processed through these services may be transferred to and stored in the United States.

GrydWyrk may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the website, its visitors or legal rights.

Retention and security

Personal information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Routine website logs are retained according to the hosting provider's operational and security practices. Emails may be retained as needed to answer inquiries and maintain appropriate business records.

GeoRiot determines how long information processed through Booklinker and Geniuslink is retained under its own retention practices. GeoRiot states that Internet Protocol addresses are not retained as part of the ongoing click record after the initial processing of a link.

GrydWyrk uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited information it handles. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your privacy choices and requests

You may ask whether GrydWyrk holds personal information about you and request access to or correction of that information. You may also ask a privacy question or raise a concern. Some requests may be subject to limitations permitted by law.

If a request concerns information processed through Booklinker or Geniuslink, GrydWyrk may need to refer the request to GeoRiot or ask you for enough information to identify the relevant link activity. You may also contact GeoRiot using the contact information in the applicable Booklinker or Geniuslink privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the website or its privacy practices change. The date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last updated.
